So back what seems like a million years ago when I was preg w/ B at my "big" ultrasound they noticed something called an echogenic focus on B's heart..all the dr's freaked me out telling me that it was related to down's syndrome and other heart defects. So when B was born he was seen by Dr Fethke (ped cardiologist). Dr Fethke couldn't believe what these dr's put me through (i had like 7 level 2 ultrasounds) he said that one of his dr's in college was the founder of this focus and that it doesn't mean a thing and his heart was fine, he had tons of testing in the hospital.
So fast forward to a few weeks ago at the geneticists office. He tells me that he noticed that B had a heart murmur, which no dr has ever mentioned before to me.
So today I was speaking w/ B's ped and she suggested that we go back to see Dr Fethke. So today I called his office and we have an appointment to see him May 15th (the day after B's 2nd b-day)
Again it's prob nothing, but PLEASE keep B in your prayers

Jocelyn, Just wanted to try and put your mind at ease. Not sure if you remember but several months ago our ped send up to a pediatric cardiologist because Jake has a murmur that you can hear all the time. The dr told us it was VERY common and in Jake's case it was the innocent kind. I will be thinking of you and B. Hope you have an uneventful trip to Dr Fethke.
